There's a huge ass difference between adults cosplaying minor characters, & adults cosplaying minor characters along with lewding them up... Adults solely cosplaying minor characters is not lewding them! If you're not doing sexual stuff in the cosplay then it's not lewding folks!
And to add: There's also adults who are plus sized and have curves. Us just existing in these cosplays doesn't automatically mean that we're lewding up minor characters. We shouldn't be attacked because of our bodies.
As long as you're not doing doing sexual stuff while cosplaying characters like Nezuko, Dora the Explorer, the majority of MHA, etc. then you're good! If adults solely cosplaying minor characters is wrong then that person might as well cancel 90% of the community!
Update: I made this thread in response to that other thread/video going around that the TikTok op was insinuating that adults cosplaying minor characters alone are lewding them, but in actuality, that's not what she was saying at all and now she's getting hate. Things got skewed.
Please read the whole thread. I fucked up by jumping the gun and apologize for doing so. This is what she was really saying: https://twitter.com/yakfrost/status/1247263494178844675?s=20
I'm keeping this thread because there are folks out there who hate seeing adults cosplaying minor characters & automatically think we're lewding them when we're just dressed up as them. The op in that TikTok video does not have this mindset as people are assuming.
It's even worse cause the op in the TikTok video that's getting attacked is a black woman & the cosplayer that everyone's blindly defending is thin & yt. When black women speak up, either we get told to stfu or people take shit out of context & make us the villains.
If you're lewding up minor characters it's gross no matter what. There's plenty of adult characters that you can lewd up. Minor characters are off limits!
