#COVID19 is causing a discrepant picture b/w relative clinical comfort and very troubling Pulse ox. Seems like the virus is attacking hemoglobin and shifting oxygen dissociation curve moreso than just blocking gas exchange at alveoli. Thoughts? @CMichaelGibson @drsanjaygupta

Troubling Bc this means a patient at home may be unaware of how bad his/her condition is, without the telltale dyspnea. If you’re sick, don’t minimize your symptoms— get checked out. #COVID19 #coronavirus #StayHome #StayAtHome
