look, everyone agrees that a lockdown is the most scientifically appropriate thing to do to arrest the spread of the virus.

it& #39;s the fact that there& #39;s no plan underpinning this decision beyond "ganito ginagawa ng ibang bansa" that& #39;s maddening.
let& #39;s see some actual data and numbers. let& #39;s accelerate mass testing. for example, let& #39;s have public KPI& #39;s for our efforts wherein if infection rates slow to X percentage then relaxing of the lockdown can commence.
let& #39;s have more solutions to take care of the people beyond uneven and unreliable relief goods distribution. let& #39;s copy best practices from different LGUs and make them mandatory on a national level.
let& #39;s make it official policy to link the LGU& #39;s mobile palengke and community kitchen programs with farmers from the North who are trashing tons of viable food for lack of customers.
ayaw niyo bitawan ung troll farm contracts? fine. pivot naman tayo ng use. use them to disseminate health info to the marginalized. basics like ano ung virus, bakit nag mamask, bakit bawal mag dikit dikit etc.
seeing a concrete goal to work for, instead of vague hopes for a foreign vaccine to fall from the heavens, can go a long way towards improving morale, confidence, and actual bayanihan spirit in the country.
oh and, STOP THE VIOLENCE AGAINST YOUR OWN PEOPLE
