why youth with you is getting a lot of exposure, aside from having lisa as a mentor (thread)

1) youth with you is technically the third season of idol producer. a lot of people in china have been watching the show since the first season.

[the three seasons are, in order: idol producer, qing chun you ni, youth with you]

2) pd kun is idol producer's center. he has a big fan base even before he joined the show, and eventually got bigger in the past two years.

3) china is a big country, self explanatory.

4) this is the first time iqiyi released subs internationally, which makes it easier for international fans to watch the show w/o waiting for subs from fansubbers (even though the subs on the iqiyi app is shit sometimes...)

while i do agree a lot of fans have watched youth with you because of lisa, i think it's important to know that there are many more factors why youth with you is getting so much exposure.

you can't say there's a sole or single reason why youth with you became big, which is why a lot of people are telling you to at least do some research on the history of idol producer.

lisa is big, no doubt, but the show has been running on three seasons already... so how is it not big at the moment?
