Abel Balbo: 23 y/o Argentinian striker from River Plate. Went onto be one of the best strikers In the world in the 90’s. Scored 70 goals in 144 games for Udinese.

Néstor Sensini: 22 y/o Argentinian Centre-Back signed the same season as Balbo but from Newell’s. 149 appearances for Udinese before being sold and being part of the legendary Parma side in the 90’s.

Màrcio Amoroso: 21 y/o Brazilian striker from Flamengo. Signed for 800k and then sold to Parma two years later for £26m in 1999 after being the top scorer in the league. 43 goals in 105 games.

Roberto Sosa: 23 y/o striker from Gimnasia. Not the most standout name but did go onto have a decent career for both Udinese and Napoli. 46 goals in 135 games.

David Pizarro: 19 y/o midfielder from Wanderers. We’ve all heard of him. Went on to play for Inter, Roma, City and Fiorentina after 143 games for Udinese.

Sergio Almirón: 20 y/o midfielder Argentinian from Newell’s. Didn’t do much at Udine tbf - but did go on to sign for Juventus.

Cristián Zapata: 18 y/o Colombian centre back signed for 450k from Deportivo Cali. 194 appearances before being sold to Villarreal for £9m and then to Milan.

Abel Aguilar: 20 y/o DM also signed from Deportivo Cali. Again not the biggest name but did go onto play for Colombia 71 times and captain them.

Fernando Tissone: 18 y/o midfielder from Lanús. Didn’t do much for Udinese apart from one good season. Went onto play for Samp and Atalanta.

Alexis Sànchez: 17 y/o winger from Cobreloa. One of the Pozzo’s best finds. Went onto be voted the best player in the league whilst at Udine. Yanoe the rest.

Guilherme Siqueira: 20 y/o Brazilian left back from Inter U19s after being deemed not good enough. Went onto play for Benfica, Atleti and Valencia.

Mauricio Isla: 19 y/o versatile right back from CDUC. Became one of the best wingbacks in Italy for Udinese before being sold to Juventus.

Juan Cuadrado: 21 y/o winger from Medellín. Only played 20+ times before being sold to Fiorentina for £15m. Obviously now at Juve.

Fabiàn Orellana: 23 y/o winger from Audax. Played for the Pozzo’s other club Granada and forged a good career in La Liga - playing for Celta, Valencia and Eibar.

Luis Muriel: 19 y/o Colombian striker signed from Deportivo Cali. 19 goals for Udine before being sold to Samp for £14m. Sevilla then broke their transfer record to sign him, & now scoring for fun at Atalanta.

Pablo Armero: 23 y/o Colombian left back signed from Palmeiras. Became the best left back in Serie A at Udinese. Sold to Napoli.

Roberto Pereyra: 20 y/o midfielder from River Plate. Was a key player in the 352 system before being sold to Juventus for £15m. Now at Watford.

Allan: 21 y/o midfielder from Maldonado. Made over 100 appearances for Udinese before being sold to Napoli where he’s one of the best midfielders in Serie A.

Bruno Fernandes: 18 y/o midfielder signed from Novara for £2m. Not South American but just wanted to let people know our owners found him.

Charles Aranguiz: 23 y/o midfielder from UdC.

Douglas Santos: 19 y/o left back from Nautico.

Adalberto Peñaranda: 18 y/o forward from La Guaira.

Pervis Estupinan: 18 y/o left back from LDU Quinto

Rodrigo de Paul: 22 y/o midfielder from Valencia (£2m) was close to joining Udine before Valencia. Now one of the best midfielders in Italy.

Juan Musso: 24 y/o GK from Racing. Is one of the most consistent keepers in Italy.

Ignacio Pussetto: 22 y/o forward from Huracan. At Watford after a good first season for Udine.

Rodrigo Becão: 23 y/o centre back from Bahia. Could become one of the best defenders in Italy.

Jhon Córdoba: 21 y/o striker from Chiapas.

Darwin Machis: 17 y/o winger from Mineros.

Richarlison: 20 y/o forward from Fluminense. Had a good 6 months at Watford before being sold to Everton for £50m.

João Pedro: Spotted at 16 & signed for an initial £3m from Fluminense.
