Worried that people are starting to believe, "The institutions I already didn't like failed us in this crisis."

The *actual* lesson is, "ALL of our institutions failed us."

If you're finding yourself only disturbed by the failure of entities you already didn't like before this started, you are doing it wrong. The failure here was across the board: public & private, left & right, federal & local, etc... All of them failed us.

This was a systemic failure. The task at hand once the dust settles isn't to replace some politicians with others, reform one or two agencies, or add/remove specific regulations. We have to evaluate why the SYSTEM we had failed and how we rebuild the whole thing differently.
