Just thinking about how similar the Shrek and Uncharted franchises are.
-Both first entries are decent to great but are blown out of the water by their sequels, which are widely considered classics in thier respective mediums.
-Both first entries have 3 main characters who stand out from the largely forgettable supporting cast. (Shrek, Donkey, & Fiona vs. Drake, Sully, & Elena)
-Both main characters have a comedic relief as a sidekick who is much less physically able as the main character
-In the second entry of both franchises, they end with the same power the antagonist was using against the main character being used by the protagonist to defeat the antagonist (Blue sap vs Fair God mother's magic)
-Both have a secondary character introduced in the second entry that is at times untrustworthy but ultimately a faithful companion. And both companions later got thier own spinoff entry.
-Both series introduce a LOT more new characters and lore in the second entry.

-Both first entries center around a troubled relationship in which the man has trouble expressing his feelings but they eventually get together.
-Both have a healthy about of adventure, action, comedy, fantasy, slightly mature humor, rope swinging, and climbing.
-Both first entries have predominantly green color palettes and the environmental variety in the second entry is WAY more varied as to avoid that visual repetition.
-Both series retcon main characters into having relatives that were never mentioned as playing a major role in thier lives in earlier entries. (Drake's brother and Fiona's parents).
-Both have 4 main entries, and the 4th entry of both look back on the legacy of the franchise while also delivering a fairly definitive ending.
-Despite that, both are rumored to have yet another entry in the works.
-Both have 2 spin offs, one of which is available in the traditional format of the series (Puss in Boots & Uncharted Lost Legacy) & another that's available in an unconventional format for the series (Shrek 4D and Uncharted Golden Abyss).
-Both also have other throwaway appearances/entries, like the Shrek Holiday specials, and Uncharted Fight for Fortune, the exclusive Vita card game.
-Both series lasted 10 years (Shrek 2001-2011, Uncharted 2007-2017).
Idk there's probably more but I think I've made my point.
