It says "1.2 lakh people are being served hot cooked meals twice a day through 17 community kitchens." Wow! But having had personal experience of sanghi social service, decided to read through with hawk eyes https://twitter.com/SunilAmbekarM/status/1247092096927854592
"The BMC collects 40000 food packets frm these kitchens every day to serve its own staff &medicos & police engaged in emergency services and to serve the homeless, labourers &the migrants." Looks like BMC has contract with some kitchens which RSS claims as own. Is the food free?
"Another 60,000 food packets are distributed through the RSS network of non-governmental organisations (NGO), voluntary organizations (VO) and community organizations (CO) at various underprivileged localities across the city" RSS kitchens and RSS NGOs! Who are they?
"while around 20,000 food packets are given to daily wagers in the city." First apparently BMC collects 40,000 food packets for needy, RSS NGOs pick up another 60000 food packets to distribute to needy and RSS kitchens directly distribute 20000 packets to daily wagers.
The accompanying picture shows no picture of kitchens, but dry rations being packed. Nothing to identify it being RSS workers. By their own figures 1.2lakh food packets distributed per day, not 1.2 lakh people fed twice a day
cc @uttam_g Can you verify through your journo contacts if BMC is getting 40,000 free food packets per day from RSS kitchens which seem to have mysteriously sprang up in 17 places with cooking facility to prepare 120,000 food packets per day
Also, @Aquibasnavi any RSS organization giving food packets, dry or cooked, in Mira Bhayander? Such invisible selfless service of RSS!!
When the government has set up help centres across the states, why do they need 40,000 food packets cooked by RSS kitchens https://twitter.com/CMOMaharashtra/status/1247158775024193537?s=19
