What’s taking place in the #cattle & #hog industry is an absolute shame. When you look at retail prices & packer margins it’s nothing short of corruption. But call it what you want it’s been happening for yrs. You want cheap food by God forbid you offer the producer fair value.

I have zero problems w/ companies & individuals making a boat load of money but when outright stealing the product from your customer by screwing them & their families we have a major ethical problem. With all due respect @SecretarySonny the producer isn’t looking for a bailout

Or free money, they want price transparency, fair value for their products, they want their damn markets back! You can manage all the price risk you want with futures & options that’s not the pt. When you have an industry ran by only a handful there’s little to no competition.

At what point are you going to setup for the America producers & look into federal investigations? Or look at breaking up the industry? Your boss wants to “drain the swamp” how about you do your part within Ag industry. With all due respect Mr Secretary your leadership is needed.

Now I don’t expect you to see or hear this message but the livestock industry is beyond hurting due to corrupt business practices by the packers. Failure to act now will cause ripple effects far beyond that of Agricultural. Thank you for your time.
