Samuel Chukwueze [A Thread] #TFscout
Chukwueze is one of the brightest prospects in Europe. Today we will be looking at his elite dribbling and analysing his technique, his game IQ and movement as well as some of his weaknesses including his final ball. Let's look at his skill set and why he is rated so highly.
Analysing his dribbling technique, he keeps his body stiff using both feet to make his route unpredictable. When he wants to beat his man, he uses his immense agility to swiftly loosen his body, change direction and accelerate quickly before the defender gets a chance to react.
This technical ability is combined with a natural sense to decipher a defender's positioning, the placement of the other players and the spaces on the field which could be exploited. This helps to decide the optimal route of direction to increase a goal-scoring chance.
The last aspect of his dribbling is mycological makeup which is has seen him become an elite specimen. His muscles are naturally strong, giving him explosiveness and a sturdy physical frame. This conveys his excellent acceleration and his ability to withstand physical contests.
He is not perfect and does need some flaws to be ironed out. He often maximises his speed and sacrifices ball control. I would recommend he slightly decreases his intensity to remain in control of the ball. He also needs to not hold onto the ball for too long.
Overall his dribbling technique combined with his superb football mind and genetic makeup makes him a considerable threat 1v1.

Movement
Another aspect of his game is his excellent off the ball movement. Chukwueze has impressive timing and direction in his of the ball movement.
This is a sign of his high IQ. Instead of explaining his general movement, I am going to break down his goal vs Celta Vigo. An illustration of his excellent off the ball work in all aspects.
Chukwueze's goal vs Celta Vigo (25/11/2019)
This goal is an exemplar of Chukwueze movement. He does need to increase the consistency to raise his xG/per shot, but that will come as he gains more experience.
Chukwueze is far from the complete player. He has not grown up in an elite European academy, so his ability is still raw. His finishing ability is very inconsistent and often make poor choices in front of goal. This is conveyed by his low goal tally of 3.
It is normal for young players to have low goal tallies early. Still, he must ensure that he develops a killer instinct possesses by all the best forwards. He is often is off balance when he shoots, barring him from power and accuracy so he must ensure that he organises his body.
His passing accuracy of 76% is quite low, and he is sometimes wasteful with the ball. However, he does have a fantastic crossing ability with a 33% crossing success rate means he can provide threating balls into the box.
Overall his passing and shooting aren't great, but I suspect it will improve in years come similar to most wingers. What is important is his excellent game IQ and his obvious natural ability. Overall Samuel Chukwueze is an attractive prospect with a bright future ahead of him.
He would be top addition to any side. He wouldn't provide instant results but would develop into one of Europe's top wingers. I think a $30-40 million fee is acceptable in what will be a deflated market but Samuel Chukwueze gets the TF seal of approval.
