Can @Our_DA explain how they're willing to interpret the #lockdown regs as permitting the sale of cigarettes yet they cannot implement the amended regs allowing for informal food trading because they are "waiting for clarity" on what the regs mean? Your priorities suck @CityofCT.

Thurs 2/4 regs were amended to expressly permit informal food trading & spaza shops to sell food. A humanitarian response to secure food supply for low-income families. @CityofCT has yet to implement. @alanwinde failed to respond to my request for red tape reduction unit to help

@Our_DA have perverted priorities. @alanwinde was eager to self-interpret the regs as allowing cigarette sales but they cannot assist poor people sell and purchase food because @CityofCT apparently dont understand the regs which are written in plain English. #lockdown #food

It seems the so-called @WesternCapeGov Red Tape Reduction Unit is only there to assist big business and friends of the @Our_DA. I asked that it be tasked with assisting informal food traders navigate a permitting system in WC municipalities. No reply and no trading. #LockdownSA
