DISCLAIMER: Not necessarily a list of suggestions hahaha I just need an outlet to vent out my thoughts on a series every time I finish one discussions are more than welcome here hihihi

DARK BLUE KISS (2019)

This was the first BL I've actually watched ever. I haven't watched the first two seasons of this so walang context yung ibang parts for me. However, I think overall it was a good series with good acting and a good plot.

Filler series ko dapat ito in between 2gether episodes purely cuz of Frank Thanatsaran (lol he's totally my type ) pero tinapos ko na kaagad cuz Gemini ata ang mga writers jkjk.

Setting aside the problems of the plot, the show gives me coming-of-age vibes which portray the struggles of LGBT kids in Asia. Sayang lang tho this could've been much better if naalagaan ng writers ang plot.

I'm still frustrated cuz the plot was so off. Frank and Drake's chemistry was spot on, and this could've been a great discussion piece on the perspective of different teenagers exploring their sexuality, likes and dislikes. Hayst :<<<<<

3 WILL BE FREE (2019)

Not exactly a BL, but imo the BL arc is essential to the plot. I watched it for the BL, I ended up getting more than just the BL. Everything about this is just right. Broke a lot of stereotypes in just 10 episodes, tho I think sakto lang ang no. of episodes

- God tier cinematography
- Tay Tawan transforms from Pete to Shin
- Trans character who's not the comedic relief. Casted a great trans actress

UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN (2019/20)

Recommended by @raffyprz. Basically a fairy tale, but make it Thai, then make it BL. Plot's definitely the strongest point. Now I need a WinTeam spinoff to help me recover from the emotional rollercoaster this series put me in HAHAHUHUHU

KISS ME AGAIN (2018)

Watched this after watching DBK. Tho the PeteKao arc was really great, idk how to feel abt the straight arcs. Andami na nga, mga problematic pa. If it was just focused on 2 sisters (Sandee and Sanwan), mas okay siya imo + more screen time for PeteKao ayieeee

SOTUS (2016)

OG Engg BL. Aside from the first few EPs that made me uneasy, it's refreshing to watch something na walang annoying antagonist. Now I'm curious why Arthit loves pink milk so much. You'll probably hear in ur head the image on the right, just like "P'Deaaaaan" in UYMA

DEW THE MOVIE (2019)

Cinematography on par with 3WBF. Theme on Reincarnation, similar to UWMA. But, make it more sad and tragic. Lowkey problematic. Tho naka-follow naman ako sa plot ng movie cuz gets ko na ang theme from UWMA. Watch if and only if you're emotionally stable.

Ohm Pawat tho I'm an emotional wreck rn cuz of his acting here. GMMTV you gotta give him a love team cuz this kid has a bright career ahead imo.

SOTUS S (2017)

Much more side couples this time around, but di naman naagaw ang spotlight from Arthit and Kongpob. Sotus explores the development of their relationship, this explores the maturing. Still as refreshing as the first one, tho I personally prefer this one

Also I'm leaving this here tbh the biggest surprise I had when I started Sotus was that New Thitipoom was in this...and hindi si Tay Tawan ang love interest niya dito

HE'S COMING TO ME (2019)

Underrated tbh. Plot is very nice and touching. Not your usual BL arc. Just like DBK, it shows the struggles of queer men with their sexuality, and Ohm was able to show it well. Peraya stans may have a hard time seeing Singto not paired with Krist haha

THE GIFTED (2018)

Not a BL but the guys starred in BL before. Well-made plot that will put you in an emotional rollercoaster. Tbh medj nahirapan akong tapusin cuz it's intense af (in a good way). Gun ATP was a big surprise here. Looking forward to the sequel in a few months.

MY DEAR LOSER: EDGE OF 17 (2017)

Watched it para ma-marathon ko ang Our Skyy episodes. For both main het couple and side BL couple, mostly puppy love since teenagers ang characters. Didn't feel any strong emotions but I felt contented watching it.

SENIOR SECRET LOVE: PUPPY HONEY 1/2 (2016/17)

Cutesy kind of series for main het couple and OffGun. Mas gusto ko yung first season but the sequel's not bad naman. Tho cute ang cat fights ng OffGun dito, I have a feeling mas magugustuhan ko ang Theory of Love. Maybe. Maybe not.

OUR SKYY (2018)

Gem of BL dramas. Basically 5 epilogues, but the PeteKao episode is also like a semi-prologue to DBK. Each episode had its own charm that makes it special. Totally worth watching cuz the trailers are deceptive af.

OUR SKYY EP1: PUPPY HONEY (OFFGUN)

Best way to start the compilation. Something light muna from Jumpol and ATP. Although it's a lighter plot, maganda pa rin takeaway niya. I'm totally excited to watch Theory of Love na

OUR SKYY EP2: MY DEAR LOSER (PLUEMON)

The overall aesthetic of this episode made me melancholic for some reason. But na-touch ako cuz nagkaroon na ng clarity ang story nila. I made the meme cuz I watched this after seeing Chimon in The Gifted and He's Coming to Me lol

OUR SKYY EP3: MY TEE (FRANKDRAKE)

Personally my favorite. In <1hr, the directors were able to show what My Tee could've been with a better director and production quality oof. Also the FrankDrake chemistry is so good nagmana ata sa mga magulang ni Frank chzz

OUR SKYY EP4: KISS ME AGAIN (TAYNEW)

Basically PeteKao being TayNew lol chz. It's a nice episode naman, but since this came out before DBK, may mga inconsistencies sa plot. Specifically, live-in partners sila dito pero closeted si Kao in DBK. Still a nice kilig episode tho.

OUR SKYY EP5: SOTUS (PERAYA)

THEY SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST. It also helped that the director of Sotus S also did Our Skyy so it really felt like the epilogue of KongArthit's story. Sotus will forever hit differently after watching this bittersweet end to a 5-episode compilation.

THEORY OF LOVE (2019)

2019 was a golden year for BLs. The production quality and elements were rightfully good cuz film majors nga ang characters. The movie references made each episode was so smart. Iba yung pagka-kilig ko dito. Worth a watch for a romance that's not cheesy.

2GETHER THE SERIES (2020)

Frankly (Thanatsaran chz), gradually ako na-underwhelm as each episode progressed. Maybe with its success, a Season 2 directed by P'Film or P'Aof would convince me more. Cute naman, pero medj problematic ang ibang themes + plot holes galore

FRIEND ZONE (2018)

Okay, nashook ako when I saw Singto naked in bed with another guy (who is not Krist Perawat) chzz. But despite the theme being controversially mature, I like how eventually everyone had character development. Will it be maintained sa sequel? We'll see...

LOVE SICK (2014)

Tbh too much side stories going on that was highkey irrelevant. But if you focus on PhunNoh, I like how they developed organically. Also, instead of pinilit na maging sila sa end, I think it was smart to outright announce a 36-episode sequel at the end of EP12

LOVE SICK S2 (2015)

This was extremely long. But with so many side stories happening, I think the length of the season is justified naman. Aside from the annoying convent girls sa start, I like this cuz the relationships were developed organically. Better ending than S1 too.
