A thread on why #ChinaVirus testing is less in India.

Where the world is commending India for it's tackling of Corona, there are a few condemning India , mostly from within.

Whatever the reason for their condemnation, broadly there issues are two.
1. Number of less test in India.
2. Lack of PPE in India.

In this post, we will discuss about first issue of government testing less.
So far, more than 140000 tests have been conducted in India.

Of which 4314 are positive . Which is about 4% . In the US, the figure is 19%, in Spain 37%, in Italy 30%, in Germany 11% and in France 40%.
(China did not report how many tests China has done)
In these figures, the percentage of India should to be very high as India is

only doing target testing, that is testing where clear symptoms are visible. These figures prove two things.
(i) India is still winning the battle from Corona
(ii) Community Spread has not started in India yet.
True, the tests in India are falling short of that in most

countries. But that is not a failure or negligence , it is part of the planning to counter Corona. Excessive premature tests will only weaken the fight against Corona . Now let us analyze the reasons for low testing .
1. Community Spread has not yet begun in India.

Because of this, the spread of Corona is low and in limited geographical areas. In countries where the number of Corona Tests is high, the community spread has already begun. If and when the community spread starts in India, the number of tests will be increased.

unnecessary tests before that is a wastage of time , efforts of medical staff and wastage of the test kits. Which is not good and will hurt nation badly, God forbidden If and when the community spread begins, there will be a certain shortage of testing kits .

Tablighi Jamaat incident, #ChinaVirus had spread to 75 districts of India. After the Tablighi Jamaat event and other contacts, it has now spread to 211 districts. Which is 30% of the total 720 districts in India . Which means that 30% of the total 1300 million population

that is about 390 million -only needs to be tested because of lockdown.
In these 211 districts, governments are also setting up hotspots in which the #ChinaVirus cases exist. These hot spots are being monitored closely
Thus the total population that needs tests is very low.

3. Identification of the source is possible due to the absence of community spreads, and also of each & every person who has come in contact with the source, The affected person and the persons who had

come in his/her contact, are quarantined and are monitored by doctors. They are tested on the appearance of Corona symptoms during the incubation period of the #ChinaVirus which is 2-14 days.
For example, in the Tablighi Jamaat case 400 people had gone to different.

places in different states . These 400 and a total of 22,000 persons who came in contact with them were found and quarantined by various state governments . Now the ones which are showing symptoms are being tested .
Just like Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor who escaped from

airport without a check. Then a large number of MPs and other bigwigs joined her parties. When Kanika Kapoor tested positive, hundreds involved in those parties, including the people in contact with them were quarantined.
4. As the threat of the community spread of Corona

is increasing, the government is increasing the number of tests. For example 500 million citizens who are covered under the PMJAY scheme that is about 40% of India's population is now authorised free Corona Tests .
5. Increase the number of government labs to be tested

to 118 and about 50 private labs. More such government and private labs are coming up .
