Hi @TovaOBrien I'm not into any theories as to your motivations for your reports, but given that mountain biking is NOT barred, and that the police have said journeys under 500km are explicitly for returning travellers ONLY, why, in your broadcast tonight did you focus
on the actions of David Clark over those of Simon Bridges?

If the role of the 4th estate is to hold truth to power, even more so in these times, to essentially parrot Bridges press release that his travel was essential, seems somewhat sloppy & disingenuous.
As I said, I'm not willing to engage in any of the theories floating around about @Newshub & it's associates motivations, none of my business. But that report on the Monday night 6pm broadcast was unbalanced, over the top, lacking in facts & seemingly biased.
The @NZPolice have explicitly asked for folk to keep off the road for the very reasons that driving is risky & any accidents will put others, who are in bubbles, in harms way when they have to come out to attend. https://twitter.com/NZStuff/status/1247038336130117634?s=20
Yet, as a local, I know the track Clark rode on, and TBH if I was fit enough, I could push my mother in her wheelchair around it. He was in a deserted area, within his bubble & engaged in an activity NOT banned by the Govt.

Clark's healthy bubble, Bridges non-bubble.
Please be better than this, the country demands our public officials be held to account, even more so if those accounts are outside what the Govt is telling us is right & wrong.

Mountain biking on safe tracks is NOT endangering anyone.
