It's interesting how much the topic changes how people react to a behaviour. I've been getting accused of being "Peak genie" and similar a lot recently because I talk about sex more or less the same way I talk about anything else, but people are used to sex having special rules.

"accused" is maybe the wrong word. Most of these responses have been amused rather than objecting to it.
