We are extremely worried with the fact that medical guidelines for triage of #COVID19 patients are discriminating against persons with disabilities. This is happening in several EU countries.

We are extremely worried with infection, neglect and abuse in residential institutions.

We call for authorities to find community-based solutions (move persons out of institutions) and to provide personal protective equipment to persons with disabilities and staff.

Persons with disabilities are being left without community-based support, and they and the staff that supports them don't have access to personal protective equipment. We need funding an support: http://edf-feph.org/newsroom/news/persons-disabilities-stripped-community-based-support-and-protective-equipment-during

Isolation measures have a disproportional impact on persons with disabilities. Governments need to ensure relaxed measures for persons with disabilities, including those in residential institutions: http://edf-feph.org/newsroom/news/updated-statement-protection-persons-disabilities-institutions-deafblind-persons

Women and Girls with disabilities face specific risks. Authorities must ensure all measures put in place (example, regarding Domestic Violence) reach them. They must ensure access to healthcare including sexual and reproductive health services.

As education and employment drastically changes, we are afraid of persons with disabilities areleft behind.

Persons with disabilities must benefit from inclusive education and employment and from income protection measures.
