And here I have been telling folks that I'm relieved I'm in Guwahati as opposed to any of the major cities. These folks are the real bidexis I'd like to see go!

FYI this has never happened with me anywhere in Assam, even in places where I stood out with my racial features (you know where I'm talking about). But it doesn't invalidate someone else's lived experience.

In mainland India, most ppl assume I'm Chinese. In NE, most ppl assume I'm ethno nationalist.
