why do people need to bring up the x scenes of #KimGoEun on A Muse everytime she has new projects?
met her on Dec. 2016 as #JiEunTak & didn't know about her debut movie until after #Goblin. I was shookt, disappointed, very sad, mad, etc. you name it. but I decided to still love her.
why? 1. because that was in 2012! & I met her 4 years after. #pastispast! after my initial reactions,I researched about what led her to agree to do those scenes & what happened after. lots of things a normal viewer wouldn't care about. but I'm her fan,so I had to know.
FYI she didn't apply for the role, but because the director/production saw her as the perfect image of Eun Gyo,she was asked to come & ended up in the audition. she didn't want it,but asked for some time. also consulted her Dad. of course,he didn't like it,too.
finally, after decision-making,when her Dad gave his consent, she knew she had to give it her best shot. she also expressed her anxieties doing those scenes, but her professionalism & determination drove her to fully embrace her role. she was just ready to act.
BOOM. you know how it turned out. more than the negative criticisms, she received awards & recognition by the best people & organizations in S. Korea's film industry. she was even applauded for her first acting performance internationally.
after all those winning moments, she decided to take a break. what we know of is that, she had to finish college. as a fan,I think she also had to reflect on what just happened to her budding career. I guess she also needed time off from her anxieties & the bashing she received.
I don't think it's fair she's judged for agreeing to do those x scenes only, not really for her acting skills. I watched A Muse & left the graphic x scenes,& I was so satisfied with her portrayal. those scenes were part of the script,I know she didn't have any choice.
when she said she's grateful about A Muse,I know she's talking about what it did to kickoff her acting career. when she said she didn't want to be remembered as Eun Gyo,I think she means it in a personal way. she said she didn't want her personal life exposed/mixed up w/ her job.
2. she never did anything like that again.
aside from the fact that I don't have the right to judge her based on the past,I'm proud of her for starring in totally different themes after A Muse. thru the years, she became even better. ❤
tbh I disdain about 99% of movies/shoes from the west & even from my own country, hence I can't like any other actor. maybe it's my personality, maybe my taste, maybe I'm old-fashioned,maybe I just hate showbiz, maybe because many people annoy me. but #KimGoEun is totally different.
3. #KimGoEun is The BEST. that's all I can say. I wholeheartedly agree when the film-makers & production companies say she is versatile, professional, meticulous & hardworking. she really is. acting is her greed, she once said.
when I watched her in Goblin's first 2 episodes,I couldn't wait for the next week. so I decided to watch #CheeseintheTrap. it's funny how many times I doubted that Ji Eun Tak is also Hong Seol 😂 because she's Ji Eun Tak & she's also Hong Seol. the 2 roles are entirely different!
then I watched her movies. she played a retard in her 2nd film #Monster, then a badass syndicate member in #CoinLockerGirl. is this girl a chamelion LOL because again, she was 100% Bok-Soon & then she was also 100% Il-Young. she gives her very best every single time!
chamelion or chameleon? whatever LOL
I also saw her as a swordsfighter in #MemoriesOfASword (her action scenes were superb! I thought,is there anything she can't do?) & a lawyer in #AdvocateAMissingBody (she was strong-willed yet very girly w/ #LeeSunGyun ahjussi 🥰)
#Canola (a movie that breaks & warms the heart at the same time), #SunsetinmyHometown which highlighted her comedic skills--she's humorous in rl too! 😄 & #TuneinforLove - the unforgettable romantic movie of 2019. she was all of these diverse characters. DOPE ACTING RANGE.
4. the personal Ggone. proven so many times: she is beautiful in & out. I can go on & on to give you reasons of this conclusion, but yeah, she's RARE & someone I really look up to. she amazes me. her thoughts & actions are worth emulating. she is a precious soul ❤
so next time you bashers define her only by the x scenes of her first film, don't be mad if I think to myself how shallow-minded you all are. it disgusts me how your trashy brains are wired. I hate that she had to do those scenes, too, but she's an excellent actress & a lot more.
I just can't wait for #TheKingEternalMonarch & how she will slay her dual roles! watch out for her, everyone!!! FIGHTING!!! ❤❤❤
