By the time this is all over, if it ever is, a significant number of young and middle aged people are simply not going to have anything to go back to. Their lives are effectively over.

We made life so excruciatingly difficult for the young that many of them had to be drugged from childhood to perform what was demanded of them, then destroyed their social and financial prospects twice in 12 years. And no one cares.

I cannot adequately express how angry I am.

If you haven’t spent a significant amount of time as an adult unemployed and borrowing money to get by because no one would give you a chance, I sincerely do not care about how you think this will all be no big deal to the people whose years are being stolen from them.

If you are comfortable at home writing your column, depending on the labor of “essential workers” whose concerns are a joke to you to keep you comfortable as the months roll by, I sincerely do not care what you have to say about how all of this is really in their best interest.

If you celebrate the immiseration of the young because you detest an experience you do not understand, yet call yourself a conservative or pretend to some concern for the health of society, I sincerely do not care what you have to say about anything anymore. You are the enemy.
