Ok BUT WHAT WHAT IF they portrayed the romance between them as being "dark" and "devil" because its what the society portrays it to be because its very much unusual to fall for the same sex? So they tried to resist the temptation at first, by trying to stay at the white side +
It can also be seen as if theyre being forced to stay being "white" or "pure" as seen with the men dragging Minnie to the white background thingy but when she somehow found a "hole" as means to escape, she just sort of let the temptation get to her
It kinda explains how some sort of dark red liquid was poured into her face and it portrays how she finally accepts her true desires and let it consume her. Like how Soyeon lay down in that mud, and she didn't care how much it would stain her
And I think my interpretation on this MV was most especially proven in Shuhua's part. We can see Shuhua being shown as "pure" with that white dress, enclosed with the barb wires were we saw Soyeon before she fully accepted herself and succumb to her true desires
And then Soojin. Unlike the other girls, she was already portrayed as being the "devil" it can be seen that she fully accepted who she really is and had no care with what the society paint as being "black/devil" or "pure/white" so when she and Shuhua had crossed paths +
Soojin kissed Shuhua on the forehead and Shuhua was then replaced by the image of Soyeon, this could symbolize that Shuhua had fully escaped from her prison (the barb wires) and fully accepted that she cannot be pure anymore and doesn't care about being "stained"
They rather be painted as "dark" because its the truth. Even though theyve been told that its wrong, that it will stain them, they didn't care. Because all the light and purity they had portrayed themselves at the beginning is all a lie.
Skskksks and thats my interpretation about the MV,,, dont take it too seriously 😭😭
