nd childhood friends kagehina au where hinata& #39;s the one who approaches kageyama first in first grade during a time when tob& #39;s mostly nonverbal and doesn& #39;t have many friends bc his interests don& #39;t align with theirs etc
and hinata doesn& #39;t blink an eye if tobio doesn& #39;t verbally respond to him because "it& #39;s okay! i can talk for both of us." and then when tob wants to write smth down he gets him a crayon for him. and him slowly learning what tob likes to do instead of games which is vball ofc
and so hinata asks him to teach him during recess/etc but they& #39;re not allowed volleyballs in first grade so tobio and hinata just play running around, climbing things, etc. they& #39;re very competitive but at the end of the day hinata& #39;s always smiling and laughing, tobio& #39;s happy too.
adhd hinata often gets in trouble for being too restless in class, esp when they get a bit older around 3-4th grade, and everyone always thinks it& #39;s funny how his best friend is perpetually asleep kageyama. but they& #39;re always together even if they& #39;re in different classes
they got into habit of holding hands when they were young because hinata just wanted to drag him everywhere and they never really grew out of it (hint: they& #39;re going to marry each other down the line) so both of them are very oblivious to stares (nd rights!)
kageyama needing to follow certain routines every day and he never verbalizes this to hina but hina can pick up that tobio& #39;s uncomfortable when something& #39;s not in accordance with his internal plan so he does his best to follow along tob& #39;s routine.
and likewise tobio knowing hinata gets antsy (esp when they& #39;re younger) if he doesn& #39;t get to move around enough so he& #39;ll willingly let himself be dragged around all over school during their like, 3 minute breaks.
little tobio coloring by himself while all the other kids are in a group because it& #39;s too loud for him and hinata just picking up all his things and coming to sit by him all "i& #39;m shoyo!! what& #39;s your name?" and kageyama just o_O and hinata& #39;s like "wait! tobio, right?:D"
sorry im jumping around all over the age timeline it& #39;s the adhd but. i said this in my other thread but it& #39;d be more extreme when they were younger... them having opposite communication styles of hinata blabbering too much incomprehensibly and tob too blunt
so imagine what hinata& #39;s mom must deal with whenever her son brings tobio home to play and she asks them what they did at school that day..

and yes tobio is basically her second son. hinata& #39;s been to tobio& #39;s too but only miwa was there and she& #39;s great but she has big kid stuff to do. and tobio likes hinata& #39;s mom and her cooking (he usually only gets allow wait a minute im so sorry i forgot kazuyos alive rn
