there is no truth. you necessarily cannot state what is. only what ought to be. in proclaiming, truth becomes worldview, and all that follows is what occurs if that worldview holds.
"i observe the sky to be blue, therefore the sky is blue" - a tautology, yet the presupposition that my observations are accurate predicates the conclusion. A therefore B is not at play; rather, A so that B.
"mexico is sending us criminals" is not a statement of fact, but a declaration of what the facts must be to justify actions to come. we locked refugees in camps because of that fact, whether or was actually true or not. it's not A therefore B, it's A so that B.
"the coronavirus is an overblown boogeyman being used to keep Trump from being re-elected" is not a statement of fact. it's a declaration of intent. not A therefore B, but A so that B.
intent to write off infection as a personal failing. intent to interfere with the election and bring it "more in line with the voters," as long as the voters we're aligning with voted for Trump. intent to claim absolute authority and cancel the elections altogether.
the democratic party is not equipped to stop this. in the interest of decorum they have compromised away all their morals, all their beliefs. all they have left is compromise, and they compromise themselves into being Republicans in all but name.
there is no satisfying conclusion to this thread. learn to distinguish recounting of fact from declaration of intent; hopefully recognize when you do it yourself. it's not inherently a bad thing, saying "all people are equal" is a declaration of intent. but learn how to use it.
