1/ Rodent toxicology studies are probably *all* garbage. This has massive implications for the entire drug development industry. Why would I say something so outlandish?

2/ @BretWeinstein has exposed, circ 20yrs ago now, that the breeding protocols of the @jacksonlab have unwittingly selected for mice with incredibly long telomeres vs their wild-type counterparts
3/ This grants them ‘superpowers’ with regards to resisting toxicity but all but guarantees they’ll die of cancer (no free lunch in biology). No one knows if the @jacksonlab has acted on this information. It’s basically (nearly?) the sole provider of rodents for research
4/ @jacksonlab certainly spearheads best practices, ironically enough.
