Queen’s speech was exemplary. Pakistanis can be proud of the fact that she was once Pakistan’s head of state from 1952 to 1956. Long live the Queen of England Wales Scotland and Northern Ireland.

As predicted people have had a knee jerk reaction to my Queen tweet. Pakistan was constitutionally independent after 1947. Queen was a figure head. She still is the head of the commonwealth which we are part of it.

Lord Reading in 1925 tried to offer Jinnah knighthood. Jinnah refused point blank because Jinnah was against the fact that Indian laws were made by the British Parliament. He wanted India to be a self governing Dominion like Australia and Canada.
