Buckle up, folks: I just found out that Grandpere from Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood is NOT the same Grandpere from Mister Rogers. Also, Daniel Striped Tiger from Mister Rogers is the dad of the new Daniel Tiger
The original Grandpere speaks French and has a granddaughter named Collette. You would think that maybe Collette is the new Daniel Tiger’s mom and that’s why he calls his grandfather Grandpere too but no! The new Grandpere is Dad Tiger’s dad
That means either the original Daniel Striped Tiger had a Francophone dad that never appeared or was mentioned on Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, OR the new “Grandpere” isn’t French at all. Stolen valor!
On the other hand, OG Daniel Tiger being the dad of the Daniel Tiger from Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood solves the problem of a potentially immortal, unaging baby tiger, which did have me worried
