The reason why tkkg has the capability to sustain long-term longevity is because at their heart of hearts, they’re strikingly similar in terms of personal circumstance and thought process but diverge when it comes to execution which offers room for growth and perspective

In regard to similarities they both:
- are the youngest of a two child household
- first contact with and cultivation of a love for volleyball stems from the influence of an older sibling
- suffered through a traumatic event/loss in middle school (impacting who they are in hs)

Although Kazuyo, as well as the loss of him, and how he impacted Tobio’s life cannot and should not be understated, for the sake of this thread we also need to examine the proposed “loss” of Miwa as a volleyball companion and how it juxtaposes Kei’s “loss” of Akiteru
