Reading up on understanding of contagion & plague in Muslim traditions, & though there is a hadeeth in which Prophet asked Muslims to not enter a plague infested region nor flee from it, there are several others in which prophet states, "There is no 'Adwa (infection/contagion), >

> does not give birth to a child.") In another hadeeth, Prophet says he saw a group of 70,000 following him to heaven, companions asked, who were they, he replied, "Those who do not treat themselves with Ruqya, nor do they believe in bad or good omen, nor do they get themselves >

humors and elements. Though leprosy was considered contagious, plague was thought to be caused by "corrupt/foul air." Still can't find any incident when communal prayers were stopped due to plague, in fact during such times, & plagues were incredibly frequent, more people >
