TABLIGH WORK, India! an authentic insight into their work.
by Uves Sareshwala Yesterday, I received a call from Dainik Jagran, asking me my views about Tableegh work. They were not interested in the current controversy, because that is going around everywhere. Instead,

they wanted to know about the salient points about the work. I gave them my piece of mind as follows. Thought it might interest you all to know as well.
1. It is a completely non- political effort. They neither support any political party nor oppose.

2. They do not do conversions. Instead, they tell only the Muslims that how can they be the best Muslims themselves and how they can motivate other Muslims to be the best Muslims.

3. Like other religions, Islam defines the best followers for two aspects, worship (ibadat) and vyavahar (ikhlaq).
4. They are peace loving and peace propagating group.
5. They don't even discuss current affairs. In fact, the very Muslim community reprimands them for talking

only about "zameen kay neechey ya aasman kay oopar".6.What do they do when they go out? They mostly visit villages and remote areas to preach the Muslims there about the teachings of Islam.

7. They have absolutely no source of funding. Everyone comes out with his own time and money.
8. There is mo membership or registration at all. Anyone and everyone is welcome.
9. There is no center per say. The mosques are their center of activity.

10. Last but not the least. They try their best to avoid all controversial things. Humans are prone to committing errors. This may be the first time in it's 100 year long history that they are in a controversy, for reasons known to everyone.
