“Law is an advanced degree in thinking”

[…]

“there are lawyers who are just good counselors to other people. They understand law, but they have that human heart that lets them talk”

@ewarren in 2008.
[…] “there are lawyers who see the big policy, & they want to think about how laws should be changed, or how rules should be changed. And law is the tool that lets them look in those directions” […]

“Law is for people who want to make changes at little tiny levels, or great…
…big levels. And they are willing to use words & ideas to make those things happen.”

Turns out Warren was incredible 12+ years ago (no surprise), & a surprisingly good hype woman for going to law school as a part of progressive vocation.
Around the 23-minute mark, @SenWarren very explicitly talks about her evolution in thinking w/ regards to progressive politics!

She talks about her academic studies in the 80s/90s, & the way they challenged & changed her previously held beliefs from 10 years earlier (70s/80s).
For all those idiots who think Warren is a secret republican, dnc-stooge, neoliberal shill, pathological liar, fauxgressive, & all that BS I see constantly from like the Chapo Trap House dirtbags— this video proves how wrong they are.
You would have to believe she is the most incredibly trained double agent of the status quo, someone who has been living a perfect secret act as a liberal for decades at a time in order to eventually hurt the left.

This interview is 4 years before she ran for office!
And in the interview she attacks Hillary Clinton & Joe Biden!
Edit: she also gives some real compliments to Hillary!

Almost like Warren is a real 3-dimensional human being who views people through complicated lenses of power & truth.
“More children [in America] live in homes that are filing for bankruptcy than homes that are filing for divorce”

- @ewarren 2008

Yep.
That was true of my childhood. Because I have the same name as my dad, it is STILL on my credit report. A compounded intergenerational problem.
Holy cr@p she is brilliant.

Jump to the 37-minute mark & listen to @ewarren beautifully explain the problems of GDP as they relate to the consumer price index. Listen to her perfectly describe the looming housing crisis & edu debt crisis, along with progressive taxation failures
And all of it is in her head!

It’s obvious she understands every single stat about this issue perfectly as she describes it.

And she makes the emotional political case, not just the egghead argument, for the changes our economy needs (& needed 12 years ago!)
Oh snap!

It’s the 45 minute mark and Warren is talking (in a super positive way!) about the writings of a socialist!

Hey 🌹Twitter— how do you explain this deep undercover work on her part?
Jump to the 47:20 mark.

Warren goes on an extended explanation about the difference in quality of federal housing data that we have both before and after 1983, & what that means for public school integration.

Or, you know, a typical “idiot republican” as I see posted so often.
Ok, this is just silly now.

At the 51 minute mark of this >12 year old candid interview w/ Warren she starts talking **class theory.**

I’m not making this up!
This is a woman fully versed in her Marxist literature.

Or, as the worst 🌹s kept saying, “a neoliberal republican.”
Well, just wrapping up this little fun late night jaunt down @ewarren memory lane. At the 55 (of 58) minute mark she gives a passionate advocacy for college loan debt amnesty.

This is 1/2 a decade before Bernie ever puts his name to any significant debt forgiveness legislation.
