What Will This Pandemic Do
It will impact every one and every business

But
How It impacts and When it impacts will vary
1. Few Businesses will Grow
2. Few Businesses will Dwindle

And
The impact will be different
1. During the Pandemic
2. After the Pandemic

In Short
We have Four Possibilities

1. Businesses which will dwindle during Pandemic and Close down Later
2. Businesses which will dwindle during Pandemic and Grow after that
3. Businesses which will Grow during Pandemic and Dwindle Later

4. Businesses which will Grow during Pandemic and Grow after that

These are simple models having one two factors (Grow / Dwindle) and a 2x2 Matrix with 4 Groups

In fact
You can add "Remain the same" and make a 3x3 Matrix with 9 Groups

Group 1. Businesses which will dwindle during Pandemic and Close down Later

What immediately comes to mind is the Movie Culture we have developed Over Past 4 decades

Where
Heroes, Directors etc have fans
And these fans come and see the movie on First Day / Week

Irrespective of how bad the movie is
They pay for it
But
Amazon Prime operates on a different Model
Here, the producer gets money depending on how much time the movie is watched (But you pay only fixed charges. How it works is needs another thread to explain. Will do later)

So
If a Movie is Good, And if I watch it twice or thrice, the producer gets more money
If a movie is OK and If i watch it once till the end, the produce gets money
If I watch it only for 30 minutes and switch over to something else, the producer gets less money

In other words
How much money you earn from a movie or video, depends on how much time people watch it

The So Called "OPENING" has no meaning (or reduced value) in Amazon prime Model

This will be a game changer
Here after the money paid to Heroes, Directors

will come down

And
Producers will be more focused on Screenplays and other factors that would make someone watch the movie multiple times or at least watch till the end once

What this means is
Cinema Theatres which have closed down now
may not bounce back

In Other words

Theatres which have closed now during lockdown will Dwindle down and close (and along with this Milk Abhishekams to Cut Outs too, hopefully)

Amazon Prime / Netflix will grow during pandemic and will be the predominant model in future too

So
The Entertainment Industry will be flipped and become have more values for contents, like 4 decades ago

Independent Creators like @ILikeSlander sir and directors like @csamudhan sir will have a bright future after Pandemic

The Other Change I foresee is in Television too

In the past two decades
We are fed with too much of Live Telecast and Too Much of Breaking News - most of them either wrong or immature or half baked

Real In Depth Reporting and Analysis is missing
Why ?
Because TPR and Click Bait

This may be exaggeration, but
Still I think that this will change

Seeing Too Much of Deaths,
or
Seeing that most real time news are proved wrong

in the next few months, in Real Time TV Shows will create an aversion and people may switch to in depth analysis like @thekenweb

Sadly
Daily Newspapers - print editions - may have to permanently close down as more and more people consume news in Smartphones in the next six months

In Short
Entertainment industry as well as Journalism will change
They both will grow

But
Certain parts or sections of these will be pruned mercilessly by the pandemic

You can say that
The decline was inevidetable and the pandemic only hastened the demise

That also is true, though

What will happen to "Food"

I think
Swiggy / Zomato / Uber Eats will increase
Community Kitchen may grow up
While

Fine Dining Restaurants will reduce

They may not totally close down
But
The patronage will be much less

What will pickup now and grow

Will pickup during Lockdown and Then Grow - Includes Various Video Calls, Online Meeting, Collaborative Tools like Google Docs, High Speed Internet

In short
This Pandemic will churn your industry
Whatever be it

Few components in your industry will dwindle and decline
Few component will grow

Sit
Keep aside your biases
Find which part of the industry will dwindle and which will grow exponentially

Tune up your skills
make plans
Adjust
And
Be ready to sail with the wind

Now coming to the final question
Which industry will grow during Pandemic
But Dwindle after that

There are very few
But

Virtual Reality tours will pick up
