We need to test as many people in South Africa and Africa for Covid19 if we hope to have a safe more normal life. Without mass testing we will continue to be unsure of how far it has spread and how to contain it.

We need as many test kits that test for Covid19 and give results quickly so that sick people can be isolated and not infect others and they can be monitored and treated. Without testing we will eventually come out of lockdown and can become countries with high numbers and deaths

There is a difference between testing for the virus and vaccine trials. There is no such thing as a vaccine test. Vaccines are trialed not tested for. Vaccine trials are completely voluntary so regardless of governments agreeing to participate no one has to. We all have a choice

The truth is that governments would rather have it's own scientist and companies involved in vaccine trials while in development to vouch for their safety themselves once its approved. Vaccines are not the enemy. Polio and Ebola could still be a major problem without them

Also vaccine trials have started in the USA and other places with the citizens of those countries. Dont let the French fools and fanatics or even Bill Gates fool you into thinking vaccine trials are reserved for Africa. Facts over fear beloved. And facts over politics too. Of cause we must keep in mind always whether others seek to do harm or good but not let's our zeal put ourselves or others we love in more harm.

Somehow as a country we have forgotten that getting HIV under control was not just about treatment, it was about testing and behaviour change too. We dont people that if they feel healthy they should not test for HIV. The same applies here and even more with no anti virals yet.
