It’s interesting to me how many east and southeast asians believe that tension between us and Black people is caused by some kind of anti- yellow orientalism and not due to the very different positions which Black and Asian people fill in the american ghetto

Malcolm X talked about the role of white Jewish shop owners in ghettos during the 40s and 50s. They controlled business and exploited the poor through lotteries. yellow immigrants now often fill the same spaces.

This is the position of a settler. Regardless of the imperialism which drove us here. When we transgress the position of refugee to that of one who participates in white society and Indigenous oppression for capital gain, we are not a neutral presence anymore.
