THREAD: Things I’ve cooked during this whole isolation experience. I call it it Quarandining. Let’s start with pulled pork, beans, and slaw with homemade bbq sauce.
Hokkaido-style milk buns
Fried chicken thigh on a homemade cathead biscuit, with Ninja Squirrel sriracha and fry sauce.
Split pea soup with Irish soda bread.
Chicken and sausage gumbo ( @IsaacToups version) with homemade baguettes.
Schnitzel with German style potato salad
Beef bourguignon (Julia Child version)
Roasted carrot soup with bacon, thinned soured cream, and scallions, plus a crostini made from the baguettes from a few days earlier.
Chicken paprikash with Hungarian dumplings
Pork belly banh mi with quick pickled onion, radish, and carrot, with sriracha mayo and nuoc cham on homemade baguettes
Biscuits with chocolate gravy, per @jesshmiller88’s request. (I’d never had chocolate gravy before, but this was...interesting and pretty good.)
Pork belly fried rice
Crispy skin roast chicken quarters with crispy roasted potatoes (both @kenjilopezalt recipes) and sautéed broccolini and shallots, with an onion pan sauce.
Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken thighs and legs, served with shaved Parmesan and chiffonade of red-veined sorrel.
