Doing this thread because I’ve been noticing latety there have been new fans are coming along and people taking interest so I thought everybody should get to know him!
I’ve been a VIP for a little over a decade now and he has been my ult bias since day one. I would just love to take a moment to share with yall especially those taking interest, everything I know and love about him

How It All Started Jiyong began his career at the age of 5 as part of a group called Little Roora. However, the group ended their contract after their Christmas album release in ‘93
While on a ski trip with his family, Jiyong participated in a dance competition. He won first place and was scouted by Lee Soo Man, CEO of SM Entertainment. He trained for 5 years under the agency specializing in dance.
Eventually, he developed an interest in rapping. He then decided to attend an hip hop summer school program hosted by the People Crew. There, he participated in the title song of their album; “2001 Korean Hip Hop Flex” making him the youngest Korean rapper at the age of 13.
He caught the attention of Sean of Jinusean, a hip hop duo under YG. Sean recommended Jiyong to his label’s now former CEO, Yang Hyun Suk (who gets zero credit lol) thus officially joining in 2002.
Jiyong rigorously trained for 6 years alongside Taeyang, his now best friend and bandmate. Originally, they were to debut as a duo; GDYB but YG opted for a boy group instead, hence Bigbang (do check them out as well!)
The group debuted on August 19, 2006. From that day forward, Jiyong has led not only himself but Bigbang to become one of the biggest boybands/artists in the world.
Personality At first, he could come off as cold and intimidating especially when he’s on stage but once you get to know him, he’s actually the softest, kindest, sweetest, and most humble person you’ll ever meet.
Music On top of being Bigbang’s leader and main rapper, he has an increasingly successful solo career which has spawned numerous accolades throughout the years. His works as listed;

He has also collabed with various artists including IU, Zion T, Psy, Missy Elliot, Diplo, and Scrillex

Jiyong has a truly unparalleled influence on the fashion industry. His highly unique fashion sense attracts many followers and has set countless trends throughout the years.
In 2016, he launched his own brand, Peaceminusone as an online store. Collections include tees, caps, hoodies, beanies, and bulldog clips. That same year, he also became brand ambassador of Chanel.
