A tale of two high-tech companies. Both out of Silicon Valley. On the one hand, we have Apple - the maker of very high end electronics, computers, hardware, and software. This is what they came up with:

Then we have Tesla, a lowly "carmaker". They come up with this:

Now I'm not knocking ANY effort a company puts in. No, I'm raising Tesla up - TRUE rapid prototyping and making happening here. Using CAR PARTS people. Proof that Tesla cars truly have proper abstraction engineered into them and maximum flexibility. THIS is why BUTTONS SUCK!

As I am sure @elonmusk will attest, the MOST brilliant designs and architectures solve problems that don't even exist yet...
