So many of you have heard of the “ground glass” chest scans that are coming back for some people testing positive for SARS remix. Well, it appears that it’s coming from the virus’s ability to destroy hemoglobin

https://chemrxiv.org/articles/COVID-19_Disease_ORF8_and_Surface_Glycoprotein_Inhibit_Heme_Metabolism_by_Binding_to_Porphyrin/11938173?fbclid=IwAR0wkXcqg2XvCmrUWG21-b4d0aJf3iW0yPsKj7KoHjWs2T2Z3WoaQPWeZK4
One of the gene domains in this paper, orf1, encodes the amino acid sequence that the nasal swab SARS remix test looks for.

Looks like that sequence + others bind the β-1 chain of hemoglobin.

I’m not gonna go too far into that, I’ll explain why it’s important though.
Hemoglobin has 2 states, an open and a closed state.

Part of that is influenced by pH. Part of it is also influenced by oxygen binding. Oxygen bonds to an iron atom in the heme portion held together by an organic polymer called a porphyrin(por·fr·uhn)

There’s a Heme a, b, and c
You can see the iron atom in the middle of the ring structure.

Well iron is oxophilic, meaning it likes oxygen. There’s something you can’t see though.

In heme, there are two amino acids on the top and bottom of the iron atom. A proximal and distal histidine.
The porphyrin ring is slightly puckered, meaning it bends in a little bit from the proximal histidine pulling

When oxygen binds, it pulls the iron back in plane and that causes the distal histidine to come down and bind to the other side which closes the binding site.
So hemoglobin kinda works like a trap door

Where oxygen triggers the trap to close and stop anything else from binding. That’s how your body transports oxygen.

pH then influences where it’s released.

One of the important pH regulations is in your lungs.
So in your lungs,

Your body is exchanging oxygen for carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide in your body is generally acidic. Carbon dioxide + water gives you carbonic acid

This is balanced by your bicarbonate blood buffer system

With no iron to exchange, you have respiratory acidosis
When you have respiratory acidosis, the pH of other tissues starts to decreases as well, making your body more hypoxic (Low\\no oxygen)

Now low oxygen conditions are where a lot of opportunistic infections like to pop up. I think this is why secondary infections have been so bad
SARS remix is basically causing a traffic jam in your lungs which then backs up waste disposal in the rest of your body.

The easy remedy would be to just have your body make more blood cells right? Well that’s a very intensive process.

Ask people that have any kind of anemia
So what are some vitamins/minerals that increase blood cell count?

Well some of them overlap with immunity. Human body is a wonderful thing isn’t it?

*Vitamin C
*Iron
*copper
*vitamin A
*vitamin b-12
*folic acid
*vitamin b-6
*vitamin e
Again intensive process though, especially with making a porphyrin polymer.

What if we could borrow one?

Turns out we can from our plant buddies.

Chlorophyll and hemoglobin both have a porphyrin system.

difference is that hemoglobin holds iron, chlorophyll holds magnesium
So what are the best sources of chlorophyll, aka plant blood 🩸

*wheat or barley grass
*sea veggies (nori, dulse, kelp)
*leafy greens (watch out for oxalates)
*sprouts
*herbs like parsley, basil, & cilantro

Looks like y’all were on to something sprinkling parsley on everything
Great thing about chlorophyll is that it is easily absorbed into your lymph and it gets to work right away with cleaning up stuff.

So looks like we should add some more high risk populations for SARS remix to include people with:

-any type of anemia
-thalassemia
Anyway this paper was intriguing to me because they used molecular modeling studies which are very underrated for predicting end products of chemical changes.

This virus continues to be quite the trickster.
