T-shirts. Hats. That sweet, sweet Zubaz.

The 1990s Bulls were a merchandising machine. Let's take a look back at the classics, the caricatures and the obscure.

As I work on "6 Rings," one of the major pieces that comes up continuously is all of the gear. The championship t-shirts and hats, certainly, but really a full range of clothing, posters, action figures, food products and more. https://twitter.com/readjack/status/1229245750569205761
90s Bulls gear was like Nintendo games. There was the stuff everyone had (championship shirts / Super Mario Bros.) and there was obscure stuff that was highly personalized (The Bang Gang / Dusty Diamond All-Star Softball).
But wait, you say, what was The Bang Gang?

The Bang Gang was a caricature shirt of our three centers in 1995: Luc Longley, Will Perdue, Bill Wennington.

s/o @SBN_Ricky for this one.

One of my favorites was "Triple Threat" during the 1st three-peat, which was made for a bunch of teams. Here is my brother @Blingstein wearing his (and me in my '92 championship shirt), and then here I am wearing it for the '05 playoffs opener (and @LuccaTunes in a '91 shirt).
Another one of my favorites: The (briefly legal) Dennis Rodman Tattoo Shirt. I grabbed this in '96 at then then-Sports Authority on LaSalle & Ontario. Rodman sued the New Jersey-based entrepreneur making the shirts, and they were pulled off the market. https://twitter.com/readjack/status/570768117640642561

June 15, 1992
June 21, 1993

The day after each first three-peat championship, Carson Pirie Scott ran ads with Bill Cartwright and John Paxson modeling the caricature championship shirts and the hats.

I want to learn the story behind these shoots.

Love these. First one looks like it's his rookie year. Second one is start of his sixth season, 1989-90, designed by Nutmeg Mills. https://twitter.com/rpbailey78/status/1247149248816218112
The 1993 three-peat horns hat! I loved this. I never owned it. Great stuff! https://twitter.com/treykerby/status/1247152833499140097
