By popular demand, I have decided on a preliminary round - the 6 most popular omissions against 6 from the draw. Top 2 from each poll go into the main draw.

Polls run for 5 hours then we start on the final 32.

1. Pineapple Lumps v Milk Shakes.
A couple of icons in the first tie of the round, is Pineapple Lumps the early favourite @stafnz ?

2. Jersey Caramels v Oddfellows.
Both came through preliminary qualifying to make this stage and both scraped into the main draw.

3. Chocolate Fish v Fruit Sticks.
The iconic fish is tipped to go back but will it brush aside this sweet contender?

4. Spinning Tops v K-Bars
K-Bars was brought into the draw by popular demand and should go far.

5. Jelly Beans v Snakes
Snakes easily cruised through the preliminary round while Jelly Beans might not have enough to win at this level.

6. Toffee Milks v Jet Planes
This is a big clash for Toffee Milks against the might of Jet Planes

7. Marshmallow Twists v Rainbow Belts
This is an intriguing tie and I suspect a few will find it difficult to decide.

8. Licorice Allsorts v Volcanoes.
About this time in the list, I struggle to find something to say.

9. Wine Gums v Teeth.
A battle between teeth and something that gets stuck in them.

10. Crocodiles v Tangy Fruits.
Tangy Fruits evoke memories of being at the cinema - gone now but not forgotten - but will it feel the bite of Crocodiles?

11. Strawberries & Cream v Sour Cola Bottles.
Sour fans will be sure to back the cola bottles and it should progress into Round 2.

12. Spaceman Candy Sticks v Eskimos.
Two controversial candidates here, what's your pick?

13. Jaffas v Snifters.
A couple of big name icons, one of which won't make it into Round 2.

14. Bananas v Minties.
A sweet v minty contrast of styles here.

15. Sour Worms v Sour Feijoas
The draw paired these sour giants, lots of sours fans for both but how will they choose?

16. Milk Bottles v Raspberry Drops.
