Walked confidently through Shoprite today with a cart overflowing like you’ve never seen. Played Tetris with my groceries from angles you didn’t even realize a cart could pull off. And you know what?
All those dirty looks from people could not shake that confidence. Diapers for 2 babies take up space. Miraculously finding a 20 pack of TP to split between my four wipers and my in-laws takes up space. Cans of formula take up space. Food for 3 dogs takes up space.
Now let’s not forget regular groceries. Groceries that I usually split across several stores to save money but today piled into one cart. Then add Easter baskets for 4. So all those dirty looks from people that silently screamed “hoarder!” And snide comments from the cashier
to the person in line behind me with a handful of items saying “oh why are you buying so much?” to him, clearly said as a remark towards my large order. The people asking me “think you’ve got enough?” All of that is complete ignorance. I shouldn’t have had to
looked at any of them and said “I have 4 kids.” You have no idea the story behind someone’s cart. News flash: before the pandemic there were parents everywhere with overflowing carts. So please stop making comments and judgemental looks. I am providing for my family. End rant.
