I don’t like how in denial we can be when it comes to the topic of desperation when it comes to finding a partner. How many of us drop everything for a dude to try to show him he’s a priority when he hasn’t even shown he’s worth that effort yet. It happens, often.

In a perfect world, yeah, men should be able to nip premature effort in the bud if they don’t feel the same way. But we don’t live in that world. We in reality. So protect yourself and don’t kick it into overdrive with every man who looks your way.

And to the women who say that men should be the one to not allow it, how many times do women use men who clearly want more than they do, and take their efforts for personal gain? We do the same thing. It ain’t right either way, but it happens. Gotta protect yourself.
