Open dehumanisation of political opponents deemed *baddies*. Openly elitist belief that non-graduate masses are incapable of democratic decisions. Belief that humans are an ecological scourge on the planet. All of these strands are coming together into something deeply concerning

Put FBPE, Extinction Rebellion and the people who think it's acceptable to wish harm or death on conservatives together, and there's a clear pattern emerging here. Dehumanisation of opponents is always, always, ALWAYS a warning sign. Doesn't matter who's doing it.

I don't think I'm being hysterical here. Affluent, privileged people calling for disenfranchisement without any self-awareness at all. Casually using openly violent rhetoric without any empathy against those deemed politically evil. Elevating nature above demonised humanity...

When it's clear that they demonise the humans who don't share their ideology or elite educational backgrounds, and who aren't part of favoured identity groups, more so than others. These things creep in by degree. We should worry.

Yes right now it's just a bunch of people mouthing off on twitter, but things become normalised and these are often our supposed best and brightest. Our young, educated new professional class. The people who will be running things.
