RenGiyuu in a Tenki no ko AU

Giyuu ran away from his foster family back in the countryside to go work and become someone new in the city. He meets Sabito and Makomo who work and live with Urokodaki in his mask shop - coffee shop and gets invited to also live with them.

The Kamado family mainly provides the bread they have in the café, as a sort of collab so Giyuu, Sabito and Makomo are also close to them.

Rengoku is a sunshine boy who summons sunlight when he prays for it. Not sure if it's on the same shrine on top of an apartment or somewhere else more closely related to canon elements.

He got this ability when he had prayed all day for sun on the final days of his mother.

He lives with Senjurou separated from their father and he's trying to get by with part time jobs to support Senjurou.

Still fuzzy about how they meet but I'm assuming it's when he helps Giyuu run from questionable men in that sort of job (which Giyuu actually tried to enter willingly without anyone else knowing), something his new family would be disappointed about.

They run to the place where Rengoku prays for sunshine, and he talks Giyuu out of it and get to know about each other a bit. Rengoku shows him about his ability.

Giyuu makes his first request to him, asking for sunlight on an important day Tanjiro has for school.

Rengoku also makes it sunny on days when he goes out to spend time with Senjurou, so he's used to it. He accepts the request.

It turns out that his younger brother is Tanjirou's classmate, so they see each other again when Giyuu had to pick up Tanjirou from school.

The two get closer from that point, until they make the sunshine request thing an actual job. Makomo and Sabito are in on the secret and go with them to protect their involvement from being released on media.

Giyuu still has people looking for him after all since he ran away. Rengoku is on a similar situation since he doesn't live with an adult currently.

Urokodaki learns Rengoku's ability by accident one time when he came over to discuss the job.

He reveals the fate of a sunshine boy and its ties to the world in the sky.

The group makes that job their last one, but unfortunately Rengoku's identity got caught.

The people who pursue them also made it harder to stay the way they are.

Stuff happens after that hh but I can't really say stuff since I forgot a bit about what happened in the final quarter of the movie ?

Writing this thread I also thought about a reverse au where Giyuu would instead have the ability to call upon rain when he needs it.

I don't know if it's interesting or something but it's just a random thought.
