The conclusion to Missouri vs Nebraska “Flea Kicker” game is currently on ESPN U 🤦🏻‍♂️
Missouri got the ball back up 38-31 with 3:30 left in the game. Also, the sprinklers in the south end zone made an appearance with 2:20 left.
Not only did they get the ball back they got a first down... and still gave the ball back
Missouri just misses a pick on a tip ball with 46 seconds left. May have even caught it but 1997 replay technology is uh... sub par
After the flea kick play the students on the hill started to tear down the goal post in the north end zone before the PAT because they thought the game was over...
I subscribe to the theory that the team that forces OT almost always wins (I’m sure someone has researched this). Missouri has ZERO chance to win this game in OT
Dan Fouts with an I credible call after a dropped pass that would have resulted in a first down for MU on 3rd and 7 in OT “Not sure why they threw the ball” football was a little different in 1997.
Anyways Corby Jones gets sacked by Grant Wistrom on 4th down and Missouri loses. This concludes this thread. Please go away COVID-19. Someone check on @GabeDeArmond or @Dave_Matter and make sure they didn’t stumble upon this game like i did.
