"Why on earth are churches still meeting in this pandemic?" you might ask.

I can tell you at least one reason:

Conservative white Christians are looking for opportunities to be conveniently persecuted. The kind of persecution that requires no change to their life or routine.

"How can I be persecuted for what I'm already doing?"

Living righteously even while being persecuted for it is praised in the Bible, and rightly so.

And that's why you'll often see very privileged people shouting "Persecution!" where none exists.
