so, Wisconsin will toss out the ballots of any voter who (during social distancing rules) submitted an absentee ballot without a witness's signature.

even if said voter sent in their ballot in the period where a court had said they don't need a witness. https://twitter.com/srl/status/1246952063239684096
Local offices asked to do "best effort" to reach voters without a witness on ballot, & ask them to come in with a witness on ED.

1. invitation for social crowding,
2. given EXPLOSION of volume of mail voting, local offices unlikely to have resources or capacity to follow thru.
This is what Tammy Patrick was talking to me about, when she said assuming that local election offices can do what they should to ensure smooth mail elections just defies the actual logistics and resources available. https://theappeal.org/politicalreport/how-states-can-shore-up-mail-voting/
This is how a Supreme Court election for a Scott Walker-appointed & Trump-endorsed justice will be appointed, which seems fitting. https://twitter.com/KyleCBarry/status/1245764269083226113
