UVA’s response to this crisis has been disappointing, but not surprising. inconviencing students, not providing ample resources for low-income students, failing to protect employees & remaining silent on contracted workers that make this university great, will not be forgotten

when universities with similar or lesser endowments like @UChicago are able to pay their workers, but @UVA is out here championing its $15 minimum wage (that student activists & employees fought for, not admin) while simultaneously leting go all Aramark workers is ridiculous

this thread has terrible grammar structure but IDGAF!!!! if other unis can figure out a way to help people in these “strange & unprecedented times”, lmk what UVA be hoardin all that WEALTH for!
