Too soon to call a stable peak in #COVID19 deaths/day, but today's https://covidtracking.com/data  figure, 1184, fell below yesterday's 1352. 1st time that's happened recently. 19 days after peak in cases by illness onset date. Italy's peak-to-peak gap was ~18 days. Caveats...
Caveats include the fact that some states lag in reporting stats on weekends, so deaths totals may rise later for 4/4-5. Also, it's only 1 day of decline in deaths reported, so 4/4's could be a false peak. And, the pandemic's regional nature means not all areas peak at same time.
