Humphrey Bogart’s very dear friend, the GREAT Spencer Tracy, was born on this day in 1900. This clip (SOUND UP!) is from Up the River (1930), which was the feature film debut for both Bogart and Tracy.
Spencer Tracy, seen here with Bogie, Bacall, and Katharine Hepburn (now that’s a legendary hang-out!), is the one who coined the “Bogie” nickname, and he insisted it be spelled with an -ie.
