Thread on some of the moves I was working on today on the asphalt during this quarantine. Little rusty but getting back into it.
Super simple show the leg, take it back. Helps to get an edge on a corner or someone with outside contain. Threaten it and come back inside
Same move full speed. Can also work on someone squared up. Get an edge then use your speed to get thru
This is a move I’m working on. Like to think of it as a skier jumpcut. Small jumpcut right into a huge jumpcut for separation. Very tough on the pavement. Ideal for a crashing defensive end on an inside zone type look. Slowed down to half speed.
This can be used on an option route from the slot or the backfield. Get an edge, hesitation then get defender to commit to the seam/go route then plant and break out for separation. Learned from the best @Keenan13Allen on this one. Slowed down to half speed.
Same clip full speed
this is slowed down but I also did the move slowly. When you’re trying to add a move to your bag, start slow then speed it up. This is ideal on a safety/linebacker on something like a swing pass
This is just a hesitation to capture an edge. Every move doesn’t have to be super fancy or something to break ankles. Sometimes just getting them to stop their feet can help you get an edge and win the 1 on 1
This one was okay... good move but have to come out of it on balance to get explosion. Good start tho.
This is obviously very slow but in cleats on grass, with more work this will definitely show up. Key is having the leg strength/balance to create the separation on the second jumpcut
