I watched this game in the basement of my aunt’s house in Kansas when I was 14.

Every time Kobe touched the ball I melted into the couch. Funny bc he was a HORRIBLE 6-24 to get 23 points. Despite the inefficiency — 15 rebounds (4Oreb) and held Pierce to 18. GREATS find a way.

Celtics were out-rebounded 53-40, but gave up 23 (!!) offensive rebounds.

Kendrick Perkins watched the game from the bench with an injury. Kids today wouldn’t believe how important Perkins was to that team. He was a force as a post defender and glass cleaner. Helped KG so much.

Lamar Odom and World Peace are incredibly underrated players from their era. Rasheed Wallace is on the Celtics. This game and series was incredible.

Pau Gasol in G7 19-18. Just ate KG’s lunch. This thread hurts so much to type.
